Settling in

It is hard to believe it’s only been one week in our new apartment.  Last weekend, we were freezing our butts off, holding a garage sale, and working like mad to get our house on the market.  Pure exhaustion.

But this past week has been nice and relaxed.  The house looked amazing after it was all staged and it was on the market at 8am on Tuesday.  Our place is all unpacked and we are really enjoying it, despite the massive downsizing.

And we’ve had our first guests!  I had my friends Katie and Valerie stop by Friday for lunch.  And in the evening, Micah and I wandered around the neighborhood exploring the local restaurants and bars nearby.

Saturday, my friend Karen and her boyfriend Josh met up for lunch.  And then later in the afternoon, Tera and Brian stopped by to check out the place.  And to watch the Final Four games, our friends Aaron, Regina, and Giff came over.  We tried out the new BBQ up on our awesome rooftop terrace.  It was a fun day…and we all went out that night to have a mini-pub crawl.  In the end, only making it to two different places (tried to go to 4 though).  But we had a great time.

Sunday, Micah and I threw the football around outside in the park and walked around the lake. The weather today was so phenomenal!  Warm and sunny – just awesome!  Everyone was out and about today.  Going to do some more BBQing tonight for dinner.

We are definitely enjoying our apartment (and so far, everyone who has been over likes it too) and loving the location.  Can’t wait for more sunny Seattle days!
