This camera will rock your socks off

So we made our first big purchase since being in Korea.  Hey, gotta support the local economy right?  Micah doesn’t have a digital camera – so he’s pretty much reliant on using mine, or moreover – just doesn’t ever take any pictures.  We needed to solve this.

He did a bit of research and window shopping and settled on this Samsung VLUU ST550.  This camera is seriously awesome.

First…when we were at the store, they didn’t have the all black camera in stock that we wanted. So we got one that’s black and red.  But they threw in all these freebies since they didn’t have the black one.  We got an extra battery, camera case, and camera “purse,” plus, it came with a 2GB mini-SD card.  Awesome!  Oh, and no sales tax.

This camera is all touch screen (sorta like an iPod touch) with a HUGE LCD screen on the back, 12.2 megapixels and 5x optical zoom.  And one of the coolest features is on the front of the camera is a mini LCD screen.  So, the person getting their pic taken can see themselves.  (A nice solution for couples when taking self-pictures. No more pics with one person face cut out of the screen).

I can’t wait to use it…er…uh…I can’t wait for Micah to start using it. 🙂
